ART STUDIO AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES ARE CANCELLED . ART STUDIO IS MOVING TO ANTIOCH, IL.

FIRST YEAR CLASSES1) BASIC DRAWING I (Volume 1)Explaining the basic relation of drawing and geometry. Introducing 'Mr. Zero'.
2) BASIC DRAWING II (Volume 2)Learning to draw a simple human figure from all angles and movement.
3) BASIC COLORStudents learn how color works and use chalk and oil pastels.
4) DRAWING 2 (Volume 2)Students learn about back grounds, composing multiple figures.
5) WATER COLORStudents learn that painting is done with the same movements that chalk and oil pastels employ.

Curriculum is divided into 6 week session, one class of one hour and 15 minutes, each week. All art material is provided. Parents are welcome to stay and listen to the lessons in the parents' waiting area. There are 5 sessions during the school year. Each session builds on the session that preceded it. There are 2 years worth of consecutive sessions. Students are signed up for the session. Beginning with Basic Drawing I, the students are shown the unified structure of drawing within all subsequent art techniques and styles. You only pay for the sessions as you go and can quit anytime. Refunds are not paid for stopping in the middle of a session. Side panels show class curriculum by year. Green 'volumes' indicate what are covered in ART STUDIO volumes currently available. Students who have completed the first two years become '3rd Year students'. These are students who have a freer course of study. We revisit water colors and acrylics, but also explore pen & ink, model making (clay and resin casting) and go over in more detail art lessons building on the first two years. I have had many students stay with me their entire school careers up to senior year of high school as '3rd year students'.
SECOND YEAR CLASSES1) PERSPECTIVE (Volume 3)Student are shown the geometric basics for perspective.
2) ACRYLIC PAINTINGStudents learn about Acrylic painting which is the same techniques as oil painting.
3) REALISTIC ANIMALSStudents learn that 'Mr. Zero' works for realistic illustration as well as cartoons. Color Pencils are used.
4) REALISTIC HUMANSStudents learn that realistic depictions of humans follow exactly the same pattern as the cartoon humans they drew in Basic Drawing.
5) GEOMETRIC DRAWINGStudents learn to use the compass and ruler precisely to make exact drawing of geometric designs.
